Show me Heaven
W. Brown
Blankets pushed against the night
sky curving over us
lying four side by side
man woman, woman man
holding hands, hips touching
lying so still stories told
of our four corners
All eyes watching the night sky
growing into itself
the archer slowly pulling his bow
horses galloping, no sound
great bear wandering
Feeling all the silent waiting
the seeking and the finding, so far away
feeling nothing more than the desire
to be caught
Stars of Orion flashing to Eos
purring of love pulsing reply
kiss me till you fill the sky with flame
Show me Heaven
